Registration opens at 1:30pm on Mondays and is FCFS (First-Come, First-Served). Registration closes at 2p. 

We cannot take walk-ins after 2p for the 1:30p class. Arrivals at 2p or later will not take the test or receive a food handlers card.

The class duration is approximately 90 minutes. Laptop is furnished during class.

We cannot admit children under 12 yrs of age. Children over 12 may take the classroom option with their accompanied parent or guardian.

A quick Narcan Kit and presentation is provided at the beginning of class.

Because We Like You

Complimentary beverages and snacks will be served with both the classroom and express options.

We have Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero Sugar, Sprite, Bottled Water, Coffee and Hot Chocolate. We have a yummy selection of sweet, salty or health-conscious snacks!

Certificate Details

There is a quiz at the end of class, which requires 70% or better (30 questions) to pass. Those passing the test have the option to remain after class and have their certificates printed in color along with 2 wallet-sized laminated certificates. The certificate is valid to handle food in the State of New Mexico for three (3) years, issued by a federally-accredited agency.
